ActiveJohn_Peaceful: Finding joy in little things, the nerd with an adventurous heart

Hello there! I am a 28 year old software engineer living in Ontario, Canada who absolutely loves hiking in the mountains, playing chess in my free time, and exploring the world of photography. I find joy in the little things, like the sound of a creek or the pattern a raindrop makes when it hits a still pond. I might look nerdy with my glasses and book collection, but trust me, I know how to have a good time!

I enjoy outdoor activities, especially in the mountains or forests. I am very fond of physical activities like hiking and running but I also spend a considerable amount of time doing mental activities like chess and reading. I have a keen interest in photography and often spend my weekends clicking photos of nature and landscapes.

My perfect day would be having a morning run in the forest followed by a round of chess in park and spending the second half of my day capturing beautiful sunset landscapes with my camera.

I have run several marathons, went hiking in the Rocky Mountains, played chess in national tournaments and have even displayed my photos in a few local exhibitions.
